"We were only able to get away on holiday for the first time in 5
years thanks to you. Not for one minute did we worry about the zoo we
left behind in your hands, our dogs, ancient cat, difficult African Grey
parrots, old Camargue horse and lady chickens (3 of whom are retired).
All of them in better fettle now than before we left. The parrots are
considerably less bad tempered after your very special parrot therapy,
the dogs more fluffy after your brushing etc etc. The pools were cared
for by you as well as the numerous mole hills, a never ending quest!
Considering you were caught in the ash trouble on the way here I
can only be in awe of your courage when after spending two nights on the
floor of Amsterdam Airport you managed to make your way, first by
train, and then, due to the French railway strike with a very expensive
Hertz rental car to arrive here on the dot.
Otherwise we wouldn't have
been able to leave for our trip and would have lost a financial fortune
as well as the dream holiday of a life time. If anyone deserves to be knighted you two do, we are so very very
grateful. Do hope that before too long we'll be able to go off again and
leave our complicated establishment in your safe hands....."
